Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor on WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning-news anchor and crime report at WCBD TV. O'Dell's reports in Charleston regarding the police's tolerance in DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division to investigate. The result was states authorities enforcing more rigorous rules in these instances. The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with its Best Report of the Years Award across all South Carolina Media. O'Dell has worked at Charleston reporting and anchor at NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station before moving into Access Hollywood where she is an anchor and reporter during weekends. Her current position as a host on Access Hollywood is complemented by her contributions to NBC News Today, Dateline NBC and NBC News. She co-hosted several of pre-show arrivals to The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. In addition, she hosted The Miss USA pageant as well as the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
